All of the classes are working very hard!! The students are learning exciting things to do in Microsoft Wrod, Excel and Powerpoint! Ask your child to show you some things they have learned on your home computer!

Sometimes working with computers can be frustrating...I encourage all the students to please come to me for help if needed.

Good keyboarding skills are very important. I encourage all the students to practice and work on these skills. Focus first on accuracy and the speed will come. A good practice website for the students is www.davis.k12.ut.us/cjh/appliedtech/Business/Keyboarding.

Kindergarten - These students are working very hard on learning the home row and the meaning of "good hands".
1st grade - These students started the eyar out working in Microsoft Word. The students are learing the different tool bars and all of the available functions that Microsft Word offers.
2nd grade- The students are learning hopw to properly navigate the internet to find information and pictures! The students have also been working extensivly with word art. Next time you need a sign at home ask your second grader for help!!!
3rd grade - This class is working on their favorite topic....POWER POINT. The 3rd grade worked very hard in Microsoft Word and has quickly moved to Power Point. This year the students will be taught more rules of how to make a proper presentation through multimedia.

Grade 4- Reasearch and Power Point designing has been the theme for the 4th grade class. The students are doing a WONDERFUL job!!
Grade 5 –This class will begin creating travel brochures for the solar system!!

The upper grades are all beginning projects in computer class that are based on projects in their other classes. These projects will be fun, exciting and educational!
