About Girl Scouts
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world's pre-eminent organization dedicated solely to girls — all girls — where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, Girl Scouts cultivate their full individual potential. The qualities they develop in Girl Scouting — leadership, values, social conscience, and conviction about their own self-worth — serve them all their lives.
Bridge to Brownie Girl Scouts Award
Place the Bridge to Brownie Girl Scouts Award below the membership stars. Daisy Girl Scouts complete activities for this award to prepare for Brownie Girl Scouting.
Brownie Girl Scout Membership Pin
Wear this pin on the left side of the Brownie shirt or vest, or on other clothing, centered above your heart. Or place it on an insignia tab and wear it in the same place. It is trefoil-shaped with a Brownie elf. It shows that you are a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
Brownie Girl Scout Try-Its
Wear Brownie Girl Scout Try-Its on the vest below the membership stars, placed as received, horizontally in rows of four or five. Arrange Try-Its on the left and right sides of the vest to achieve a balanced appearance. They can also be continued around the bottom of the vest to the back. Each Brownie Girl Scout Try-It represents completion of activities in an area of interest.
Girl Scout Cookie Sale Activity Pins
Place the pins in a row above the Try-Its on the Brownie Girl Scout vest.

The sale pins are worn to show participation in the Girl Scout Cookie® Sale after participating in activities from the Cookie Sale Activity Guide. They are awarded each year in a different color.
Identification strip
Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. identification strip
Place this strip just below the shoulder seam on the right side of the Brownie Girl Scout vest. The strip shows that you belong to Girl Scouts of the USA.

Girl Scout council identification strip
Place this strip directly below the Girl Scouts of the USA identification strip. Every council has it's own identification strip.
Insignia
Wear this felt tab on the left side above the heart on the Brownie Girl Scout vest or clothing. The tab is used to hold the World Trefoil Pin and Brownie Girl Scout Membership Pin. Click on each of these two pins to learn more about them.
Membership stars/discs
Place these pins directly beneath the troop numerals, beginning with the Daisy Girl Scout star (on blue disc) on the right side, then the Brownie Girl Scout stars (on green discs). Each membership star stands for being registered for one troop year.
Participation patches and pins
Place participation patches and pins on the back of the vest, beginning at the top below the shoulder line. These patches/pins may be from camp, special events, or programs, such as GirlSports or Issues for Girl Scouts.
Religious and other awards
Wear these awards in a single horizontal row on the right side of the uniform blouse, level with the Girl Scout Membership Pin, or on the vest in the area below the membership stars or troop numerals, and above the next official insignia already on the vest.

Note: Wear only three such awards at a time to avoid a cluttered shirt or uniform. Choose to wear those that are most meaningful to you.
